Ok since I already used 'My Humps' I have to use 'Single Ladies'. We are in love with Glee, especially Kurt Hummel and for New Years last year we decided to try and do the dance like Kurt does. It was very entertaining, I even have video footage which is far too embarrassing to put on here!!

Arghh I have hated this song ever since it came out! I never ever listen to it, hate even hearing a slight beat of it. If it comes on the radio I change the station or turn it off, if it comes on in a club I either go outside or I leave the club. It drives me insane!!!

The first song on my ipod is Accessory by Jordyn Taylor from the Confessions of a Shopaholic soundtrack, love that movie...Isla Fisher is an amazing actress and she's from Australia so that pretty much makes her my neighbour haha. This song is such a feel good song and is cool to groove to in the car, especially in the Summer time!

Ahh this song came out after 9/11 and I swear it makes me cry everytime! Its a slower version of Heaven by DJ Sammy with a little girl's tribute to her father who passed away in 9/11, it is too adorable and too sad!

Robbie Williams - Rock DJ. We used to listen to this almost every time I was at her house when we were about 12. If nobody else was home we'd crank it up really loud, dance around singing to it or go outside and play in her pool. If only friendships continued that way, at least we will always have memories!

Sugababes - Get Sexy from the Street Dance 3D soundtrack. I love this song so much, every time it comes on I start grooving and 'sexy' dancing no matter where I am!!

Ok so I don't have a favourite band, I don't even really like bands to be honest! But Taylor Swift's band is pretty talented and very cool so I'm going with 'Change'. Gutted she didn't sing this song live in Melbourne last year but maybe next time!!

This is only a recent song but it makes me hopeful and helps me to remember that dreams aren't wrong, we all need dreams and goals for our life or we wouldn't have anything to hold onto and help us through the bad times. Selena Gomez is one of the very few celebrities I actually respect and admire, I love that she released this song for her fans because she said her fans needed this song.

Taylor Swift - Today was a fairytale. One of my besties and I flew from Christchurch to Melbourne to see Taylor Swift in concert, the concert just so happened to be on the same day her movie 'Valentines Day' was released so we went to see the movie that day as well, this will always be one of my favourite memories, I was so awestruck and loved it when paper hearts seemingly started floating from the sky at the beginning of the song!

A song that reminds you of a best friend

Has got to be Black Eyed Peas - My Humps! This reminds me of my dear friend Lucy, when this came out we loved the video and decided we were going to learn the dance so Lucy recorded the video and we were in her lounge just playing the video over and over again till we learnt it! Then every opportunity I would get us to do it for our friends, even now I still remember some of the moves and every time it comes on I think of Luce :)

Ok so unlike the dreaded song that is about a day of the week, I actually like having this song stuck in my head! It's catchy, well written, and has rapping in it...such a WINNING combination!!

Wow, I just came across this story on Perez Hilton's site.

It is so amazing that this happened to such a huge celebrity such as Demi Lovato, but what's even more amazing is how open and honest she is being about her issues since she was in rehab and worked on those issues. How many people in the public eye would ever do this?!

Demi is so brave and I fully commend her for stepping up to the plate to be a real role model, so many people admire her and look up to her all around the world and she has such a huge chance to really change people's lives and its so great that she is doing everything she can for her fans, especially being honest.

Ok so I have a song for each of my parents because they split up ages ago and also have never really had the same taste in music (plus my dad sings, he thinks it sounds amazing, the rest of us...yeah not so much!)
Tina Arena - Chains is one of the songs I'll always remember my dad singing along to, I even tried to sing it too!
My mum absolutely loves Neil Diamond, she'd always play the tape in the car and I was so embarrassed because I wanted to listen to 'cool' music.

Song a day

I've always wanted to do this but never knew where to get it from and since my bestie just started doing one on her blog (go check it out: http://msluce.blogspot.com/) then I decided to do one too (sorry Luce!!)

Feelin' good!

Ok so I'm a girl, I've had issues with my body and the way I look for as long as I can remember. Flipping through magazines and watching TV or movies I never feel quite up to the standard that is set so high these days.
I'm not a natural twig, I have hips, I have a bum (something my friends have always said they wished they had, I would gladly trade girls!), and I have thighs.
I think until very recently every time I looked in the mirror I would basically scream at myself "Why ME?!" not out loud of course because then people would think I'm crazy!
And being as 'unhappy' about my weight as I have been for years I never stuck to doing anything about it, trying to eat healthy would usually last an hour or two, joining a gym or working out would maybe last a week if I was lucky and the thing is I'm only 22!! This should be the best years of my life but instead I stress out about how fat I look compared to everybody else.

But I've just been getting ready to do my latest attempt at working out-Wii Fit and I actually really do enjoy it, it's not the same exercises over and over, I can choose which areas I want to work on and I can really feel it working as well.
Now I'm not the greatest at sticking with it regularly but it's nice to know I'm at least doing something other than walking to and from the bus stop everyday.
Anyway looking in the mirror today I could see my FLAT tummy, and see slim legs and I loved what I saw, I actually smiled when I looked in the mirror and thought man I look good!
To most people it probably sounds crazy but to me it's such a huge step in the right direction, I even tied up my tee to show off my tummy! #WINNING!

Toddlers and Tiaras

This show is one my guilty pleasures, it always manages to keep my attention and I think the girls (and guys!) are ultra cute.
However, I do think its a bit disgusting how intense some of the parents are. I don't know if its just an American thing but I have never seen so many stage mum's (mom's I guess??!) I mean seriously your kid is 14 months old and shes not doing a good job because shes running around on stage instead of blowing kisses or smiling?! What do most toddlers like to do?! Run around!!!!!!! I guarantee she won't even remember if she won that pageant or not.

Canada!!!

Ok I just decided in the last 5 mins that I AM going to Canada this year to visit my bestie, if the world really is ending in 2012 (which I highly doubt but anyway!) then I want to have lived every day and done what I wanted to do, and that starts with Canada!!

So my darling friend Lucy, when does it suit you to have me visit?? Let's plan!!!!!!

Epic Fail

Ok so I haven't posted on here in almost a year...pretty sure I fail as a blogger!
Lately I have been thinking about an idea for a book I want to write, I love writing so much, especially creative writing.
For a time I can escape to another world and be another person, I can be whoever I want and don't have to face any problems or consequences. Sounds like a perfect world but I think it's only perfect for a short amount of time.
I am trying to find an app for my Blackberry (did I mention it needs to be free?!) so I can write on my down time at work and on the go wherever I am and whenever I am inspired! So far I haven't been able to find one, they all seem to be for blogs and no offense but I'd rather not post my creative writing for the whole world where anyone could steal it and claim it as theirs...

I'm also reading a book my second mum gave me two years ago...yes it has taken me this long to be open to reading it! It's called 'Search for Significance' by Robert S. McGee. It is teaching me and showing me so much about myself and also God, he also backs everything he says with bible verses and I always love seeing new verses that really speak to me!

Well I shall continue on my endeavor to find this app for my phone, till next time follow bloggers
